Tech Shares Slump – Is this the start of a correction?

A lot has happened this week. On Thursday, 9/3 NASDAQ dropped 5% for no reason. That was the biggest drop since March 2020. Then the next day, it dropped another 1.3%. I do not have a special power to see the future but I had liquidated some stocks last week and had some cash in hand. I actually made this decision without knowing that market would crash on 9/3. I transferred $3000 into the account on 9/2. After the drop, I transferred another $19000 into the account thinking a 5% drop is unusual. Unfortunately, stocks fell even lower the next day. I should’ve waited a few more days 🙁 Anyways, my account is valued at $33,898.15 now. The overall return of my account is now in a negative zone for the first time. thanks to this week’s back-to-back market drop.

Below is the account activity page for this week. I made a total of $22000 deposit this week. It would have been almost perfect if I waited another day. Well, it’s too late now. No one can predict the future. You win some and you lose some. I am not worried too much though since the market will recover eventually. This will all be okay in the long run.
